Kogi Central Agog as Ibrahim Oyegun, Others Storm Okene to Drum Support for Gov. Bello

Okene, the ancient city of Ebiraland in Kogi state was agog and full of political activities over the weekend as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Rural Development, Hon. Ibrahim Salihu Oyegun led other appointees in a political parade to give more enlightenment on the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Hon. Ibrahim, who began his crusade from his immediate constituency in Okene local government, addressed crowd of Eziogu elders, youths, women groups and traditional rulers that cut across various political parties. He reminded them of government’s achievement in the area including appointment of many of their worthy sons and daughters into key position of the New direction government.

He informed them of government’s desire to develop kogi state, and appealed that all hands must be on deck to give total support to the “divine mandate of Alh. Yahaya Bello”.

At the palaces of many traditional rulers visited, the message was same as he urged them to mobilise their subjects to key into the New direction agenda of the present administration.

Also speaking at all the gathering, the duo of Hon. Hayatu Abdullahi (SSA, Inter-Party Affairs) and Hon. Abdulrazaq Idris (SSA, local government and chieftaincy affairs) appealed to the people to be patient and believe in the ability of Governor Yahaya Bello to deliver the needed dividends of democracy to the people of Ebiraland.

In Okengwe district, Hon. Ibrahim and his encourage were received by crowd of party supporters, GYB connect, women groups and youth organisations who walked him round the town in a carnival-like procession.

The youthful, energetic and vocal politician was amazed by the turnout of party supporters led by a former supervising councillor and a chieftain of the party, Hon. Sani Adeiza. Hayatu again highlighted all the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello especially in Kogi Central and tasked his audience to engage in neighbour to neighbour campaign.

Addressing some selected journalist at the De-Villa hotel in Okene, the governors’ Senior Special Assistants described Kogi as an APC state and charged all and sundry to join hands to build Kogi of our dream.

He commended Okene Local Government Administrator, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad for his wonderful achievements recorded so far especially in the areas of security, education and youth empowerment.

“What my brother, Mall. Abdulrazaq Muhammad is doing here in terms of development and style of administration, makes our campaign very easy and smooth”, he said.
