Kogi-Born UNIBEN Student Reveals Cure to Africa’s Leading Death Cause

International award winning graduating student of University of Benin, Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu, popularly known as Mr Voiceover, whose inspiring success story went viral on the internet and attracted the attention of news reportage of many Nigeria and international media houses/news agencies, including his recent interview on the international TV network, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and another currently ongoing on the international TV network, CNN, a story which is inspiring many people across the African continent and beyond, for how he survived depression, contemplation and thoughts of suicide several times, wrote O’level examinations 17 times, which in Africa (Nigeria precisely), an average student would have given up on the second or third attempt. He attended 16 primary schools,  enrolled into 14 secondary schools, took the University Matriculation Examinations (UME) 5 times, before gaining admission into the University in Nigeria.

He succeeded against all odds despite the ordeals and struggles toward the path of success, having represented his country (Nigeria) and his university to win several national and international awards competitions, despite being an orphan and from a poor background.

His inspiring story serves as an antidote to light up the  hope to the depressed, less privileged, hopeless, suicide bound, frustrated, abused, the low self esteemed, trafficked and other categories of people suffering from various mental health challenges, as it is geared towards creating massive Mental Health Awearness and Sensitization Programme aimed at educating the populace on safety measures to help them overcome frustration, depression, suicide contemplation in order to reduce the  thriving rate of suicide in the African continent

He therefore appeals to individuals, national and international health agencies, ministry of health and other humanitarian NGOs to support the eradication of depression and suicide, by sponsoring his “Mental Health Awareness and Sensitization Programme”, which is kick-starting soon in all the States of the federation and across other African countries where suicide cases is alarming.
