A scholar on community policing, Dr. Aminu Musa Audu has charged Nigerians to be collective in the fight against corruption. This becomes necessary to address security challenges and promote peace and economic prosperity in the country.
Dr Audu stated this while presenting his new book ‘Police Corruption and Community Policing in Nigeria: A Sociological Case Study’ to the global audience at Hilton Hotel, Liverpool City Centre, United Kingdom.
Dr Audu further emphasised that one of such ways to prevent and control spread of corruption was to elect men and women of integrity into institutions of governance in the country rather than falling prey to all forms of inducements during selection of candidates for various political offices.
The book was written on the premise of ground-breaking Nigeria government funded doctoral research on the UK-DFID’S overseen community policing initiative in Nigeria conducted at the University of Liverpool UK.
