As Kogi State marks its 35th anniversary, the Win With Tinubu (WWT) Grassroots Mobilization Program has extended its congratulations to the government and people of the state, celebrating its journey of growth, diversity, and developmental strides.
In an official statement released on Thursday and signed by the State Program Coordinator, Sani Philips, the mobilization group highlighted the collective efforts that have driven the state’s progress since its creation in 1991.
“From its creation in 1991, Kogi has grown through the efforts of successive administrations, energetic public servants, traditional institutions, private sector actors, community leaders, and citizens across its three senatorial districts,” the statement read.
Acknowledging the unique administrative landscape of the state, WWT praised the current administration for navigating the complexities of governing a diverse populace. The group commended ongoing efforts aimed at expanding public infrastructure, boosting commercial activity, and directly addressing key social welfare concerns.
However, the group urged leadership not to relent, emphasizing the need to sustain momentum: “We appreciate the effort of the present administration towards improving infrastructure, strengthening economic activity, and addressing issues that directly affect citizens. We urge them to do more in guaranteeing sustainable growth and development for the state.”
Calling for unified civic responsibility, WWT noted that the long-term advancement of Kogi State depends on active participation across all sectors of society. The organization urged community members and leaders to foster constructive dialogue, contribute practical solutions, and champion initiatives that drive collective progress.
The goodwill message formally extended warm congratulations to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, alongside members of the State Executive Council, the State House of Assembly, local government administrators, traditional rulers, and the citizens of the state.
“As Kogi marks its 35th anniversary, we extend our congratulations to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State, members of the State Executive Council, the State House of Assembly, local government leadership, traditional rulers and, most importantly, the resilient and amiable people of Kogi State,” Philips concluded.
