The lawmaker representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Salman Idris, has congratulated the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the people of the state on the occasion of the state’s 35th anniversary.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Idris described the anniversary as a significant milestone in Kogi’s history, noting that the state has continued to record progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare and other key sectors since its creation in 1991.
The lawmaker commended Governor Ododo for his commitment to development and good governance, stating that the administration has continued to implement people-oriented policies and projects that are positively impacting communities across the state.

Idris urged residents of the state to remain united and to continue supporting efforts aimed at promoting peace, development and economic growth for the benefit of present and future generations.
He prayed for greater progress, prosperity and stability for Kogi State, and wished Governor Ododo wisdom and strength as he continues to lead the state to greater heights.
Kogi State was created on August 27, 1991, from parts of the old Kwara and Benue states.
