Kogi at 30: We’ll Be Part of Solution to Challenges in the State Through Prayers – CAN

Nigerians have been urged to pray for peaceful co-existence, love, forgiveness and harmonious living irrespective of tribe, religion.

The general overseer of chapel of freedom international churches Lokoja and the chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi state chapter, Bishop John Ibenu stated this during the prayer for Kogi at thirty in Lokoja on Sunday.

Bishop Ibenu promised to led CAN to be part of the solution to the many challenges that confronting the state and nation through prayers.

He described Kogi state as a land blessed by God, both human and natural resources enough for self sufficiency.

The clergy man thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the collaboration of his government with CAN and her blocs as well as the inter-religious council that has enabled an atmosphere for peaceful religious harmony in the state.

He charged the congregation to pray for security and the healing hand of God to take away terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other social vices from Nigeria.

The Bishop directed all churches in Kogi state to gather at a central location on Friday, August 27, to pray for CAN at 45, Kogi state at 30 and the Governor for God’s mercy, guidance, protection, discretion and fear of God.

High lights of the prayer session during the church service was prayer for Kogi state, CAN and Nigeria.
