Kogi Assembly Resumes After Mourning James Ocholi, Holds Valedictory Session

The late Minister of Labour, Employment and Productivity, James Ocholi, SAN, has been described as an articulate and vibrant legal luminary and an administrator per excellence.

The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam, made this statement during the valedictory session for Ocholi by the House, on Thursday.

The session, presided over by Imam, directed the Clerk of the house, Tseja Sheidu to convey its condolences to President Muhammadu Buhari and the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on the unfortunate incident.

While extolling the late former APC governorship top contender, the majority leader of the house, Elder (Dr) Friday Sani, said he will forever remember Ocholi for saving him from an unjust incarceration and for standing by him and him family in difficult times. Sani described Ocholi as a good Christian and a detribalised man that was worthy of emulation.

Other lawmakers, Honourables Idodo and John Abah took turns to eulogise the late minister.
