Kogi Assembly lauds ECN DG Over Renewable College Establishment in CUSTECH, Confirms Dr Saliu Ali as SUBEB Board Member

The Kogi State House of Assembly has commended to the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, for his role in the Barefoot Renewable Energy College’s establishment at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara.

The assembly gave the commendation in a resolution reached on Wednesday following a motion moved by Dr Suleiman Abdulrazak.

Abdulrazak told the House that the commendation was in recognition of Abdullahi’s contributions to the development of the college in Kogi.

He described the ECN boss as a leader whose efforts had benefited the state and the country.

The house also confirmed the appointment of Dr. Saliu Muhammed Ibn Ali as a Permanent Member of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, after his screening.

Lawmakers at plenary described the nominee as an experienced public servant and expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the improvement of basic education in the state.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, who chaired the screening committee, urged the new board member to be transparent and diligent in the discharge of his duties.

In his response after confirmation, Ali thanked Gov. Ahmed Ododo for the appointment and the Assembly for the confirmation.

He pledged to work to strengthen basic education delivery in the state.
