Congratulations to Kogi State on her 27th year of existence.
A child of 27 years ought to have been independent, ceteris paribus.
In our 27 years we are still in a state where we can hardly survive on our own except depending on Federal Allocations.
The style of leadership we have had and how our resources have been managed is not a far answer to how and why we have gotten here.
Our State has been marred with the tag of being a ‘Civil Servants’ State despite all our endowments in human and natural resources.
The leadership of His Excellency, Yahaya Bello has come to correct the faulty foundation on which Kogi State was laid, as such Kogites and residents should continue to support the government for further delivery of the dividends of democracy.
The Speaker therefore called on Kogites both home and in diaspora to support the current administration in its quest to reposition the state for the benefit of all.
It is our firm promise that the Assembly under my watch, shall continue to partner with relevant stakeholders to legislate good laws that will promote the good governance of the state.
On behalf of the entire members of the sixth Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly, I felicitate with and congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Kogi citizens on the 27th anniversary of the creation of our dear State, Kogi.
