Kogi @ 26: Nigerian Post Newspaper Anniversary Lecture Holds Aug 25

The Nigerian Post Newspaper annual lecture to mark the creation of Kogi State is billed to hold on Friday, 25th August, 2017.
The lecture series which has been part of the Newspaper’s way of reflecting on the creation of the state, has this years theme as; “Kogi @ 26: Looking at the past in the present towards charting a greater future, so far, how well”.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will be the special guest of honour, while the lead paper titled, ‘Kogi@26: Governance Redefined’ will be delivered by Chief Edward Onoja.
Alhaji Asiru Idris, Commissioner for Finance will speak on ‘Accountability and  Transparency, Governor Bello’s Watchword’.  A paper titled ‘What Bello is Doing Differently’ will be delivered by the Director General, Grassroots Mobilization and Orientation, Alhaji Abdulkarim.
A lecturer with the Kogi State Polytechnic, Mr. Tope Joel, will speak on; ‘Kogi @ 26, Is This Our Dream State?
This year’s lecture series promises to be exciting. The event will hold at the Children’s Amusement Park, Lokoja under the chairmanship of Professor Akerejola, with Pastor Dayo Thomas, MD, Graphics Newspaper, as co-chair.
His Royal Majesty, Alh Abdulrazaq Isa Koto, Ohimege Igu Koto, Alh Kabir Maikarfi lll, Maigari of Lokoja, Alh Audu Oke, Oba Yoruba, and Alh. Abdulsalam Mohammed Ondaki Ogbani (Madaki) Wari of Ohikwo Village, Ganaja. Ajaokuta L.G.A, will be the royal fathers of the day.
The Kogi State NUJ Chairman, Alh. Adeiza Momoh Jimoh will serve as the chief host at the colourful occasion.
Awards will be conferred on some persons who have contributed to the growth and development of the state.
