The Kingsley Femi Fanwo (KFF) Foundation has donated laboratory apparatus and some other school items to Isanlu Victory College, Ilafin in Yagba East local government of Kogi State.
The foundation did the presentation on Friday, October 29.
Rev. Dr Aina John Omba (JP), the former ECWA Vice President who presented the donation to the school principal in the presence of the community elders, parents and representative of the students, stressed the timeliness of the philanthropic gesture to the college.
He expressed great appreciation to the KFF Foundation, saying such act of kindness do not go unrewarded.
The renown clergy called on the school authority to adequately utilise the apparatus for its rightful purpose.
Also, Rev. Dr John Sunday Owoeye, the Chairman of ECWA Ilorin DCC, who jointly presented the items to the school, thanked the Chairman of the Foundation, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and members of the foundation for finding the Isanlu Victory College Ilafin deserving of the donation. He prayed over the items and for the foundation to continue to make landmark impacts. He assured the foundation of the community cooperation going forward.
Receiving the items, the Principal of the school, Mr Samuel Ayodele, who could not hide his joy, narrated how the school have often gone to her sister’s schools for assistance to use this set of apparatus during science practical examination, especially during external examinations.
“Our joy knows no bound now that we have in our custody what we have often gone miles to borrow” the principal stated.
Ayodele added that the school have been heavily relieved in this direction. He described the donation as a big breakthrough for the school.
Mrs. Bamidupe Aina Adewumi, a member of the KFF Foundation who submitted the solicitation for the foundation’s consideration said she is immensely thankful to the KFF Foundation and Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo for being actionable, youthful, and resourceful. She added that the gesture would serve as an initiative that would be reciprocated in future. And that more importantly, this step will further spur the students to take their studies seriously.
Earlier, the foundation had called on her members across Kogi State to table challenging issues in their community that can be remedied with the sum of one hundred thousand naira and Mrs. Bamidupe’s application was approved after due scrutiny, investigations and proper consideration by the foundation. The application also got the attention of the Chairman of the foundation and the money to buy the items was released. Items donated to the school include complete set of Titration Apparatus, three Whiteboards and its components.
The leadership of the Kingsley Femi Fanwo Foundation have continued to contribute largely to the development of different communities in Kogi State regardless of tribe, religion or political party. It has indeed become a pillar of encouragement for people.
