The proverbial phrase “If the Mountain will not come Prophet Muhmmed (SAW), then Prophet Muhammed must go to the mountain”  simply mean I know I refused to do it, but somebody’s got to, so none else will take it on, I suppose I shall have to do it myself.

This story has everything to do Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alh.  Yahaya Adoza Bello (GYB) and Sen. Ahmed Ogembe on killing of Yusuf Adabenege Onivehu November last year.

Kogi Central Forecast Group fault the two parties, GYB and Sen. Ogembe for not taking legal step since the confessions have been made by four suspects paraded in Okene. The Governor, as chief security of the state could have order the state commissioner of police to invite Sen. Ahmed Ogembe for investigation. Alternatively, Sen. Ahmed Ogembe could have sued the State Government for denting his personality, morally and politically. These killings in Ebira Land are not supposed to end on social media or audio record.

If I were Senator Ahmed Ogembe, I will prove my innocence in the court law as Senator Dino Melaye did when he was wrongly accused for the illegal possession of fire arms.

Kogi Central Forecast Group urge Sen. Ahmed Ogembe to challenge all the allegations tagged to him below by a group known as ‘Ebira Concerned Citizens’ in view of the fact that he has come far in politics.

“The Circumstances that surrounded the death of late Yusuf Adabenege Onivehu, the custodian of Aneku Cementy of Ebiraland and others:

“It is imperative to remind and inform the general public as well as security agents, the activities and antecedents of Senator Ahmed Ogembe from 2007 till date. He was the first person to import over 35 new automatic pump action guns which is still in use by his boys till date and this was further affirm by one Adayi Lawal Eppa at the town Hall meeting in 2010, in the presence of Ohi of Okene / Okengwe, (HRH Alh Yakubu Yusuf), Adai Alh. Sule Engineer and some of the traditional rulers from Okene Local Government Area.

“We should also note that in 2012, the late Yusuf Adebenege and his 25 family members, were humiliated, arrested and detained along side with his custodian instruments few days to Ekwechi festival and all these happen under the watch of Hon Ahmed Ogemebe as L.O.1 of Okene Local Government Area. As a result of these acts, Aneku Cementy could not perform alongside with Aneku Irenuohi of Eyire clan in that year, coincidentally few days to Ekwechi festival in 2018 he was also assassinated by Ahmed Ogembe as alleged.

“It is worth note that among the killers of the soldiers in Okene and the members of deeper life church at FCE, Okene in 2012, is a son to senior sister to Sen. Ahmed Ogembe, by name Abdul Yekini Isah, a member of Boko Haram, and Ahmed Ogembe personally went to the then commissioner of police (Muhammed Katsina) and Director of D.S.S (Mr. Mike) to seek for his release, but failed. To cover his crime, he frame up Hon Abubakar Zubair Dangurama, Yahaya Karaku and others. In the course of interrogation, the suspects deny knowing them, let alone sponsoring them to killed Soldiers and members of the Deeper Life Church in 2012 and further stated that they would have prefer to kill them if they had cross path way with them. Meanwhile, the reverse is the case, on the assassination of Mr. Yusuf Adebenege where the assassin confesses publicly and named Sen Ahamed Ogembe as their sponsor.

“In 2012, precisely on the day of turbaning ceremony of Alh. Muhammed Sani Ataba Omolori as the Chiroma of Ebiraland, one Miss Grace Sunday Agbata was assassinated at Hajia Juwa Omadivi residence, Agassa GRA and Abdulrahman Karaku was killed at Bariki and others and subsequently the killer named Farouk a.k.a General commander and Ibrahim Sadiq a.k.a George were arrested and they all confess to the killings and named Ahmed Ogembe as their sponsor. Ogembe kept mute.

“In 2013 when Ahmed Ogembe became an executive Chairman of Okene Local Government Area, he released the killers (Faruq and Ibrahim Sadiq) and appointed them among his aides.”

Senator Ahmed Ogembe has every right to challenge these allegations in law court or Gov. Yahaya Bello should take necessary step to avert unforeseen crisis in Ebira Land.
