Jesus: The Rock of My Salvation

Life can shake what we thought was unshakable. Wealth disappears, relationships change, plans collapse, and human strength eventually reaches its limits. Yet there is a foundation that does not move with the storms: Jesus Christ. Scripture declares Him our Rock, fortress, deliverer and stronghold.

«“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.” — Psalm 18:2»

The world teaches us to build security around influence, possessions, connections and achievement. But these are fragile foundations. When the storm comes, what we have accumulated may not be enough to keep us standing. Christ offers something deeper: a foundation strong enough to hold the weight of a wounded heart, a troubled mind and an uncertain future.

Paul makes the picture even clearer: “That Rock was Christ.” The message is not merely that Jesus gives strength; He is the source of our strength. He is not simply a refuge we visit when life becomes unbearable. He is the foundation upon which life itself must be built.

Therefore, when everything around you is shaking, do not abandon the Rock to search for another foundation. Hold firmly to Jesus. Storms may come, seasons may change, and human promises may fail, but Christ remains. Jesus is not merely part of my salvation; He is the Rock upon which my salvation stands.
