Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali has appealed to Kogi people of Igala extraction not to allow the political and cultural destiny of the people be eroded by leaders with ill feelings for their welfare.
Aidoko dropped this message at parade ground in Abuja during the launching of the program,”Ichi Igala, Odu Igala” designed to advance the culture of the Igala people.

He appealed to Igalas at home and in the diaspora to rally round their political leaders and aspirants in the forthcoming general elections in order to retain their pride of place in the state and at the national level.
The senator advised the people to demonstrate togetherness and spirit of oneness in the course of protecting their cultural and political heritage, rather than succumbing to material influence that may not stand the test of time.
Senator Aidoko pleaded with the organisers not to narrow down their awareness to the cultural reorientation alone, but extend same to the political, economic and total emancipation of the people in the current dispensation.
He commended the organisers for a job welldone, describing the program as well timed in view of the political development in the area.
Kogi East senator appealed to stakeholders, opinion moulders and highly placed in the society to come together and liberate the masses from bad leadership so as to attract more progress to the area.
