How Kogi Assembly Chief Whip Led Others to Rescue Vice President from Crashed Helicopter

It was a rare show of bravery and compassion when the Chief Whip of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye forcefully broke the door of the crashed helicopter to rescue Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday in Kabba.

Omofaiye, member representing Ijumu state constituency, was the first person that made attempt to rescue Osinbajo just one minute after the unexpected crash left many stunned and scared.

While others scampered for safety in fear that the crashed helicopter would explode any minute, Hon. Omofaiye and Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata of Yagba East Constituency ran towards to crashed helicopter without hesitation to rescue the Vice President and his team.

With tears in his eyes, Hon. Omofaiye climbed the crashed helicopter,  forcefully broke the door and got the Vice President out.
