The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has described the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones as a youth developer, an epitome of quality and a patriot with enormous commitment.
This was made known in a congratulatory message personally signed by the Rector to celebrate Jones’ birthday in Lokoja on Sunday.
The Rector extolled Jones’ dexterity and commitment to the New Direction vision, especially in using education to engage and empower youths in the state.
“On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I wish to felicitate with you, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones on the occasion of your birthday celebration.
“Your support towards our realizing the New Direction’s blueprint in education and the transformative drive to lift the standard of our great Polytechnic is highly appreciated. I pray that God Almighty in His infinite mercy will continue to grant you more sound health, abundant wisdom, knowledge and understanding to continue to pilot the affairs of the state through your noble office,” he said.
