Hon Idris Ndako’s Empowerment Train Hits Kakanda, Kupa South, Oworo Eggan and Kupa North Wards

The member representing  Lokoja 2 constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Idris Ndako, has declared that qualitative empowerment of the masses is far better than indulgences given to the people for gratification purposes.

Ndako made the declaration today  during the empowerment programme organized for the people of his constituency in Kakanda, Kupa South, Oworo Eggan and Kupa North wards.

According to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker; “it is my covenant to ably represent and do resoundingly well for my constituents through the constituency intervention projects’ platform provided us by the State Assembly as representatives of the people who knows the spots where shoes pinch the masses.”

“I will use every medium available to me as a  lawmaker to bring dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of my people. In the next couple of years, issues of youth unemployment, empowerment and qualitative education of our pupils will be given priority in order to secure their future,” he declared.

He said the era in which some politicians who are not actively involved in fishing would receive what is meant for fishermen living in our rural areas is over.

“I insisted that I must see all of you because some politicians resides in urban centres and claim what belongs to you, henceforth I will continue to deal with you directly”, he said.

Ndako assured the people of more dividends of democracy to be delivered to them.

Among the items presented to the beneficiaries drawn from across 5 wards in the constituency, included: fishing nets and other fishing materials.

One of the beneficiaries,  Salihu Umar, from Kupa North who responded on behalf of the rest, thanked the lawmaker for the gesture and assured him of their unalloyed support.

The occasion which took place at Jamata received the royal blessing of the Okatama of Jamata, Chief Mamudu Ibrahim, PDP stalwarts and leaders from the five wards.
