The Kogi State Hajj Commission has disqualified four out of its 916 intending pilgrims for this year’s exercise.

The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Sadiq Muhammad Rabiu, disclosed this when the Amirul Hajj and leader of Kogi State delegation to the pilgrimage, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isakoto, paid him a visit.

He said the affected persons include three pregnant women and a man who was disqualified for lack of basic Islamic knowledge.
Rabiu said the commission was 100 per cent prepared for the exercise, adding that all the pilgrims have been screened.
“In terms of the main operation, we have gotten their visas ready. Tentatively, we may take off on the 9th of this month. We are ready and set to go”, he said.
On his part, the Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isa-Koto, said he was impressed with the level of preparation made by the commission for the exercise, and urged the pilgrims to follow rules set by the Saudi authorities to ensure a hitch free exercise.
