Guber Race: Why Kogi Poly SUG Rejected Mustapha Audu

The Student Union Government of Kogi State Polytechnic flatly rejected Prince Mona Mustapha Audu upon his declaration to contest in the next gubernatorial election in the state.

Late Prince Abubakar Audu’s son, Mona Mustapha Audu was present at Kogi State Polytechnic on Tuesday.

The sudden visit of the son of the first executive governor of Kogi State raised a whole of misconception in the minds of the students of the polytechnic.

Upon arrival, Muna Mustapha Audu declared his intention of contesting the the next gubernatorial election and pleaded support from students and the Student Union Government.

The new SUG president, Comrade Umar Jafaru Omeiza made the son of the former governor understand publicly that Kogi State Polytechnic is not a ground for political campaigns.

He also informed the students that progress of the institution is his motive for the school as the SUG president. He told them that anything aside from this will be null and rejected.

The SUG president also commend the present Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his good work and asked the students to join hands with his excellency to move the institution to the next level.
