Players and officials of state owned teams, Kogi United, Kogi United Feeders and Confluence Queens identified with rest of campaign councils to show their supports to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello ahead of his second term ambition.
The teams who were joined by their supporters’ clubs today at the Confluence Stadium were led by chairman Mallam Abdul Sule.
Mallam Sule said the support was to appreciate Gov. Bello’s support to the team and also identify with him as he is set to consolidate on his tremendous work to take the state to the next level.
“This is very necessary for us to do, he’s our number one supporter and has being of great inspiration to us along with his Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja.
According to the chairman of the teams, Mallam Abdul Sule, “the Government has been of supports to the three teams since inception, we believe this is the time for us to show our appreciation by showing our full support for the Governor’s second term agenda.”
Kogi United are representing the state at the second tier division, the Nigeria National League, Confluence Queens have just set a record by qualifying for first ever Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL Super 4 while Kogi United Feeders are force to reckon with in grassroot football in Kogi State and North Central Nigeria.
