Gov Bello Appoints Ogirima Bello as New Managing Director Kogi ADP

Governor Yahaya Bello has appointed Prince Bello Ogirima George as the new managing director of Kogi State Agricultural Development Project (ADP).

In a letter of signed by the secretary to the state government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade, the appointment takes effect immediately.

Prince Bello, a seasoned technocrat and an astute administrator, will take over from Mr. Oyisi Okatahi who has been described by many as God’s gift to Kogi ADP.

Prince Bello, who was born on 11th February 1969 and holds Master degree in Public Administration, last worked as Head of Local Government Administration (DLG), Ibaji Local Government Council, Kogi State.

While acting as DLG, he made tremendous marks and brought ever green innovations to the Ibaji Local Government Council.

Bello Ogirimi George, a firm believer and advocate of the New Direction Agenda of Governor Bello, promised to make Kogi ADP the economic hub of the state.

Speaking after his appointment, Prince Bello said he has a workable blueprint that will guide Kogi ADP, her staff and other stakeholders towards effectively, result-oriented service delivery.

He noted that agriculture is the primary occupation of about 60% of Kogites and thus critical to the survival of the state. He pledged to make Kogi ADP a center for farmers’ advancement and job creation.

He stated that knowing that the critical mandate of any Agricultural Development Project is to boost agricultural production as well as contribute to rural livelihood and food security, he pledged to re-organize and revitalize agricultural extension system, create an effective farm distribution system and a rigorous monitoring system, while he shall also not forget the areas of infrastructural development, rural agro-industrial scheme, staff development and programme funding.
