Forum of APC Ward Chairmen Commends Smart Adeyemi for Commitment to Party

The Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairmen from Lokoja local government area of Kogi State has commended Senator Smart Adeyemi for his commitment towards party growth and good governance in the state.
The Forum gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to Adeyemi in Abuja on Sunday.

The leader of the delegation and the chairman of the forum, Honourable Adamu Modibo said the contributions of Senator Smart to the party in the last one and half years is immeasurable and they are happy to have him join them in the APC. He noted that the ex-lawmaker was one of the outstanding leaders known for building the party and empowering members and his followers even while he was in PDP. He said Adeyemi’s entrance into the APC is a blessing to the party.

“We have come here today to declare our total support for you and to also commend you for identifying with the needs of our local government area.

“We are particularly happy about the role you played in resolving the Assembly crisis. We have no regrets as we believe it is the will of Almighty Allah but we want to urge you and the Governor, His excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, to draw the former speaker, Honourable Umar Imam closer as he is a big asset to the party”, Modibo said.

Adeyemi thanked the delegation for the visit. He admonished them to canvass for men and women of integrity and proven track record to join the party saying the ward is one of the most important structures of the party and as such there  is need to work with the state governor and his Chief of Staff, Mr Edward Onoja to build a formidable APC in Kogi state.

Senator Smart used the occasion to call on all party faithfuls and the entire citizens of the state to continue to support the government of Governor Bello as he is committed to charting a new direction of prosperity for the state.

He assured the members that Governor Bello means well for the state and is desirous of developing Kogi.

He urged the people of the state to join hands in building the state by offering suggestions and ideas that will enhance good governance in the state noting that the success of the government of Governor Bello is not for him alone but for all Kogites. He said politics is and must be all about the people and development of the land.

Also responding to issues raised about the former Speaker, Honourable Imam, Adeyemi assured the delegation that the governor and the former speaker are still brothers and the governor will not abandon him.

He commend the ex-Speaker for stepping down, which gave room for the peaceful resolution of the the impasse.

Senator Adeyemi also responded on the empowerment of his followers saying all glory and honour must be given to the Almighty God as he alone can take glory not man.
