Our attention has been drawn severally to the targeted campaign of calumny, innuendoes, name calling and vexatious uncouth lies against the person of the chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr Muheeba Dankaka.

These vexatious allegations bordering on corruption, nepotistic acts and fraudulent and lopsided employment cum job racketeering has been repeated in cycle to prove to the writers that repeated lies may be taken as truth.

To the disappointment of those hatchet writers, the public is now tired after been conversant with their pull her down antics.

It is the late former president of Russia, Mikhael Gorbachev who stated that a pessimist is a well inform optimist, and this is true when it comes to the impact the FCC chairman, Dr Muheeba Dankaka had on the mandate of the commission as against the utter lies and outrageous display of the pull her down syndrome displayed glaringly by the faceless groups masquerading as truthsayers.

Their intentions from day one is basically to be a continuous clogs in the wheel of reforms being implemented by this amazon in order to stop her from implementing this necessary reforms.

We have for so long displayed maturity in the face of this provocative antics believing that it will fade out with the progress in the outcomes of those reforms. This parochialistic manufactured accussations has been their from day one simply because she is from a zone that those naysayers seems unfavourable to.

We have therefore decided to put the records straight because those misleading accusations would be termed as truth from gullible Nigerians if not responded to.

The Federal Character Commission chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka is leading today to the glory of God came into existence pursuant to the yearnings of of Nigerians for a solution and an ombudsman to reform the thorny issues of inequality and ethnic dominations in the country. This the enabling laws depicts should be done by ensuring the equitable representations of different groups in all tiers of governments, as well as monitoring the implementations of these noble objectives.

It is to the credit of Muheeba Dankaka that immediately she was appointed by the president as the helms woman of the commission, she sought approval and created the monitoring and compliance department at the commission to make sure that issues based on compliance would be deal with centrally. This department, to her credit, has largely laid to rest issues of non-monitoring and non-compliances to the mandates of the commission as stated by its enabling laws.

It is true and crystal clear that the constitution of Nigeria stipulates clearly that the FCC should be constituted in a way and manner that would truly make it an embodiment of the principles as enshrined in the constitution.

It is on record that in the history of the FCC, this commission under the leadership of Muheeba Dankaka, has lived above board in this regard. She has through her created departments that serve as the commissions watchdog to ensure that federal agencies, parastatals and departments adhere to and respects this constitutional provisions.

We make bold to say and without mincing words that with verifiable data at our disposal that this Amazon Muheeba Dankaka and indeed her subordinates have kept the spirit of reforms alive by their pragmatic and systematic approach to solving through reforms all issues militating against our unity and cohesion through federal character principles implementations.

This she has largely achieved through ensuring that all sections and geographical divides got their fair share of appointive positions.

Why are we been on tarnishing the image of the person of Muheeba Dankaka and vilifying a woman that has worked tirelessly in ensuring equity and justice is not only done but seen to be done except for the only reason that she is not from our part of the country.

We are all Nigerians, simple.

To the very few pessimists who never saw anything good or actions of this chairperson as well intentioned, they are today loosing sleep by giving every well intentioned action of the chairman, particularly as it concerns the FCC ethnic colourations.

Her appointment by the president just for the records, went through all known due process and many would patriotically attests to the fact that she has been performing wonderfully well as a lot of positive changes through workable innovations and changes through reforms at the commission has gone a long way in eliminating the bad perception citizens hitherto have about the FCC.

The federal character commission is now business unusual and this reforms has negatively affected the paymasters of this hatchet writers.

The antics of venturing into the media space with unverifiable accusations are the final game plans of making the chairman frustrated out of the reforms but to their chagrin they have failed.

The chairman is eternally committed in fulfilling on her mandates as given to her by the president and the legal provisions guiding the commission and it is advisable that those parading themselves as pedagogue of destcilisation should look for another job as their antics are known.

Those of them that are spreading falsehood by spreading wild accusations that the chairman have diverted the FCC from its original objectives of ensuring equity by abandoning constitutioning provisions and operating at variance with known sources knows it is a lie they crafted from the pit of hell to denigrate some of our very best who meant well for Nigeria’s unity, knows they have failed.

The recent petition written to the president by some disgruntled commissioner of the commission speaks volume. Today, the general public should use this petitions to identify the third columnist masquerading as officials sponsoring disgruntled elements to do a hatchet job against Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, the chairperson of the commission.

They hastily refused to explore all internal mechanism to verify the veracity of those claims before rushing to petition the presidency of a non-existing sleaze in the commission.

As stated by the most senior director of the FCC, the petition was hastily drafted and sent to the president surprisingly by commissioners who are supposed to be abreast of the internal working of governments.

This petition was hastily submitted to achieve one aim and that is to bring down the chairman of the commission. It is now verifiable that this employments they are talking about predated the appointment of Muheeba Dankaka as the chairman, why hanging it on her?
