The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for considering merit above everything in appointing Justice Husseini Baba Yusuf as the Chief Judge of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja.
Abagwu gave the commendation in a statement signed by his media aide, Abdullahi Ismail Musa in Ankpa, yesterday.
He said, “the process of appointing Justice Husseini Baba Yusuf by the President of Nigeria to oversee the FCT High Court was based on merit. I commend the Federal Government for finding an Ankpa-born legal expert of high repute worthy of such position.
“The government will continue to do her very best to put the Judiciary in a good form and favour of all citizens at all levels.”
He prayed God to elevate Justice Baba Yusuf to the top echelon of the judicial sector, give him the strength, wisdom and understanding in discharging his new duties.
“On behalf of the good people of Ankpa Local Government Area, we felicitate and as well celebrate you, as you start another phase of your career.”
