Fanwo Bags Okun Students Award of Excellence

The Director General, Media and Publicity to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo added an additional feather as he bags an Award of Excellence from National Association of Okun Students (NAOS).

Speaking while presenting the award, the President of the association, Comr. Jacob Abraham Damilare said Fanwo has fulfilled every criteria for the award.

Jacob Speaking, “this award is to appreciate you for your strive in supporting students and education in Okun Land. You sponsored a quiz competition to the tune of N750,000.00, you also spent many thousands to sponsor a spelling bee competition under Amuro Students Union (ASU). In addition, you contributed to the construction of a library for Takete-Ide Students Union (TISU), sponsored their day with N400,000.00.

“As if that is not enough, you also keyed into the request of our association by sponsoring over 30 students for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) amongst personal commitment you have made paying school fees of some of our students too.

“This award is to appreciate and encourage you to do more and beckon on all capable Okun sons and daughters to always assist the association and Okun Students more importantly.

“We are also optimistic that our request before you to help with school fees of some of our students will be earnestly considered.

Hon. Fanwo appreciates the leadership of the association for the award. He applauded the President of the association, Comr. Jacob for the height he has taken the administration to. He ask the President not to relent in striving for the betterment of Okun students and assure Okun Students of further support and assistance in the nearest future.
