The INEC resident electoral commissioner has described the abortive Senator Dino Melaye recall saga as “failed, invalid, ineffective and incompetent” following the low turnout for the exercise.
Unmistaken and customarily the people of Kogi West have yet again proven to have mowed off the weeds of disunity and stood with a right sense of patriotism rooting out the hydra headed monster of hatred now draped in the robes of oneness and dedication by their massive display of solidarity for Senator Dino Melaye despite in the face of crude intimidation and gross duress.
This is exemplified in the joy that enraptures my heart, that which unites us is greater than that which divides us. While we yet hold and do not yield our opposing beliefs, there is a higher duty than the one we owe to political party, interest and movements.
We are indeed happy to note that Senator Dino Melaye have clearly written his name in Gold, SDM is shining like a
million star to the admiration of his fans, colleagues and his adversaries. Mention 109 Senators, and one name will stand out; We are living at a time where it is more rewarding to keep quiet in the face of injustice as long as our relatives, friends are not involved.
However, Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye stands out among his peers when issues affecting the youths are on the front burner. Silence is golden, but not in the face of injustice; Dino Melaye constantly engages with the youth via social media platforms to feel their pulse in order to act accordingly. His many goodwill initiatives will soonest earn him the status as the ‘most user friendly’ senator in Nigeria; always precise and hitting the nail on the head without
mincing words. Dino has carved a niche for himself as the not only the mouth piece for his loving constituency but for the Nigerian youths also.
The ship of Okunland and Kogi West as a whole must be paddled to the promise land because we have enough sailors and Captains. Let me round up with this maxim, “If you long to belong where you don’t belong, your longing will be long”. You belong to Okun Land. So therefore, ARISE! OKUN COMPATRIOTS, the development of Okun land is in your hand.
