The apex umbrella body of the people of Ebira descendants, Ebira People’s Association (EPA) has applauded a renowned activist, Barr. Natasha Akpoti for her commitment towards the revival of Ajaokuta Steel Company.
The, Head of delegation and Odeyiani of Anebira, AMAC FCT Abuja, HRH, Alh. Talib Babamba described Barr Akpoti as God sent and a lady who has distinguished herself in the fight to ensure Ajaokuta Steel Company becomes fully operational.
Speaking when members of EPA paid a courtesy call on her in Abuja, Alh Babamba particularly praised Natasha for her courage especially during her last presentation on the floor of the House Of Representative while calling on Ebira people to rally round her to ensure she achieves her set goals.
Similarly, IWA National President and President of Ebira Elders Forum, Abuja, Adayi Joseph Anivasa recalled the selfless services rendered by late Dr Akpoti before his death and encouraged Natasha to continue on the reputable path.
Also speaking, EPA Acting Chairman Abuja, Amb. Aishat Moh’d Danni, urged Natasha to shun detractors and concentrate on her crusade to enhance the welfare of the masses.
Responding, Barr Natasha Akpoti appreciated EPA and the entire Ebira people for the love and supports while reassuring them of her commitment towards the resuscitation of Ajoakuta dream.
In her words “The story of Ajaokuta began with the kind of pain I feel when I see our jobless youths, poor parents and the social vices in the land. I must tell you that am not going to give up. If Ajaokuta is the only thing I can achieve for the people before I leave this world, let it be”.
Highlight of the event was the decoration of Barr. Natasha Akpoti with the Ebira traditional attire and a letter of appreciation.
