Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid celebration, to mark the end of a one month fasting, by Muslim faithfuls all over.

In a statement issued in Ankpa on Sunday night by Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, the Coordinator of Information, Visual and Strategic Operations to the Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Halims enjoined Muslims to use the opportunity of the end of Ramadan to offer prayers to almighty Allah for peaceful co-existence among the different ethno-religious groups in the country.

He said “even as the Ramadan period is over, we must continue to live up to the tenets of our faith through acts of charity, peaceful coexistence, obedience to the injunctions of Qu’ran as well as compassion toward the less privileged,” in order to uphold the spiritual lessons of the holy month.

Rep Halims urged Nigerians in general to demonstrate the spirit of tolerance, unity, forgiveness and compassion to compatriots, adding that Muslims in the country and beyond must be worthy ambassadors of the faith by exemplifying all of the virtues that distinguished Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from other beings.

He thereafter extended his warm greetings to the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency in particular, and Kogi State in general. He reaffirmed his commitment toward uplifting the living standard of the people through job opportunities, empowerment, human development and physical infrastructure.
