A pan Igala socio-political group, Igala Vanguard has sent a congratulatory message to Air Vice Marshal Saliu Atawodi (rtd) over his acquittal by the Court of Appeal on a case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a statement signed by Engineer Lawrence Akpa, the group stated that his exoneration by the court has justified the confidence they have in the fine officer and gentleman who has dedicated his life to the service of his father land.
According to Engineer Akpa, Atawodi’s dedication to duty, transparency and sincerity of purpose while in active service and in retirement is not common. He said his acquittal on allegations of connivance in an is a testimony to his uprightness.
He described Atawodi as one of the illustrious sons of Igala kingdom in whom the ethnic nation is well pleased. He urged the former Air Force officer not to be deterred by the deliberate attempt to drag his hard earned reputation in the mud, saying the Igala nation will look up to him for representation and advisory role in her quest to make life better for the people.
