As Nigerians celebrate the 61st independence anniversary of the nation, the founder/Chief Enterprise Officer of Edushine Educational Foundation, Dr Safiya Stephanie Musa has congratulated the nation with message of goodwill to the people to remain patriotic in the collective efforts to restore the national values and glory.
In the anniversary message, Dr Safiya paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of the nation for their sacrifices and commitment to national unity, urging the people to continue to adhere to the values of love, unity and good neighborliness upon which the country was founded 61 years ago.
According to her, Nigeria might not have achieved her fullest potentials as the giant of Africa yet, but the people must not feel despaired, but remain on track and focused for her to get out of the woods. This she said, is a patriotic responsibility that’s incumbent upon all Nigerians.
“We maybe facing some daunting security challenges, but let Nigerians not be despaired but remain vigilant in addressing the challenges and supporting the armed forces against the provocations,” she stated.
While commending the Nigerian armed forces for displaying gallantry in the face of unprecedented security challenges being posed by some non state actors across the country, she appealed to the people not to allow such provocations undermine the cohesiveness of the nation. She therefore called for joint vigilance in the efforts to restore peace and security to the nation.
Dr Safiya particularly congratulated the President, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, members of the Federal Executive Council and National Assembly members on the anniversary celebration, urging all to remain committed to the goals of national development.
“As we mark this 61st independence anniversary, my prayer is that Nigerians would attain her development goals, have a secured nation that could provide peace and prosperity for all, and where everyone would have a sense of nationhood,” she stressed.
The Edushine founder wishes all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora happy anniversary celebration and prosperous years of peaceful coexistence among the diverse groups.
It would be recalled that Nigeria obtained her independence from the British colonial authority on the 1st of October 1960 and this year is the 61st of her independence anniversary.
