Member representing Adavi Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muktar Bello Adoke calls on Christians to pray for peace, unity of Kogi state and Nigeria.
In his Easter message to the people of his constituency, Hon Adoke enjoined Christians to pray for the success of the administration of Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Adoke, who doubles as the Deputy Chief Whip, called on Christians in the state to use the period of Easter to pray fervently for continued peace and unity for Kogi state.
According to him, the lessons of love, humility, selflessness, forgiveness and perseverance shown by the Lord Jesus Christ through his death on the cross and resurrection should be emulated by all Nigerians at all times especially at this critical period in the nation’s history.
He pointed out that although Christ underwent very trying and difficult times on the cross in order to bring salvation to man, he never gave up but persevered and triumphed in the end.
The lawmaker said the salvation brought to mankind by Christ should not be taken for granted and admonished all Kogi citizens and Nigerians to look up to God for solutions to their problems.
He urged people to see themselves as one and the same irrespective of their backgrounds.
