A retired Assistant Director at the Department of State Security, Dr. William Toyin Akanle, has pledged to assist Rehoboth Children’s Home to establish a rehabilitation centre.
He made this known at the anniversary celebration of Rehoboth Children’s Home, an orphanage, in Lokoja over the weekend.
Akanle, a notable politician in Kogi state, said his non-governmental organization (NGO) will partner Rehoboth Children’s Home to remodel recalcitrant children, adding that the move will make the kids useful to themselves, family and the society at large.
The security expert, who was the Chairman of the occasion, noted that he will continue to give priority to humanitarian service through his NGO to impart positively on the lives of the people.
He called on Nigerians to contribute to the development of the orphanage home in cash, kind and psychologically, saying whatever is done to the less privileged is to God.
Dr. Akanle tasked the management of Rehoboth Children’s Home to prepare a development plan that will project the orphanage to be globally recognized.
According to him, a projected plan to establish crèche and school should be considered.
He commended the management of the orphanage for doing a godly job.
