Dr. Mahmoud Alfa Holds Strategic Meetings with Kogi Leaders Lokoja, Reaffirms Support for APC Unity, Ododo, Tinubu

Political economist and former All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi East senatorial aspirant, Dr. Mahmoud Alfa, on Monday held a series of strategic engagements with key government officials and political stakeholders in Lokoja, reaffirming his commitment to the unity of the APC, the re-election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the continued development of Kogi State.

Visit to the SSG

Dr. Alfa began the day with a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, where the two discussed issues bordering on the progress and development of the state. The SSG commended Dr. Alfa for the visit, describing him as “her own son,” and wished him well in his future engagements.

Meeting with the Deputy Governor

He later visited the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu. Both leaders stressed the need for greater unity within the APC and called for collaboration towards the continued success of the Ododo administration and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ankpa APC Stakeholders’ Meeting

Dr. Alfa rounded off the day at the Ankpa Local Government APC Stakeholders Meeting, held at Halims Hotel, Lokoja. The reconciliation meeting attracted party leaders including Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, Professor Usman Ogbo, Dr. Kashim Akor, and the Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, among other stakeholders, who called on members to close ranks and work together for the progress of the party.

In support of the meeting, Hon. Halims donated ₦2 million, Dr. Mahmoud Alfa contributed ₦1 million, while Dr. Kashim Akor supported the initiative with ₦100,000.

The day’s engagements reflect ongoing efforts within the Kogi APC to consolidate party unity ahead of forthcoming elections, with stakeholders across the state signaling continued alignment behind the Ododo-led state government and the Tinubu administration at the federal level.
