APC’s Wazo Joins Governor Ododo to Receive President Tinubu in Kogi, Hails ECN and CUSTECH Leadership

Adavi LGA, Kogi State — The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Adavi East State Constituency, Hon. Muhammed I. Aliyu, popularly known as Wazo, joined Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Tuesday to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, in Adavi Local Government Area.

The President’s visit centred on the commissioning of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College, Osara (BARECKS), a landmark facility established by the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) within the CUSTECH campus.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Wazo commended the Energy Commission of Nigeria for establishing and commissioning the college, describing it as a significant milestone for renewable energy development in the state.

He also praised Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the ECN, for what he described as an impressive performance since assuming office, noting that Dr. Abdullahi’s leadership was reflecting positively on the Ebira nation.

Hon. Wazo further lauded the Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, commending his kindness, support, and unwavering commitment to the growth of education in the institution and the wider society. He noted that numerous projects had been completed during Prof. Salawu’s tenure as Vice-Chancellor, which he described as a testament to divine backing for the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership.

The APC constituency candidate also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his exemplary leadership style and his commitment to good governance and inclusive administration in Kogi State.

The commissioning of BARECKS is expected to strengthen renewable energy education and research at CUSTECH, positioning the institution as a hub for sustainable energy development in the region.
