A former Chief of Defense Intelligence and CEO of Vice Admiral and Mrs Ajayi Education Foundation, Vice Admiral Joseph Ajayi (rtd) has eulogized the management of Democracy Newsline Newspaper for honoring him with a Lifetime Achievements Award, stressing that he cherished the recognition coming from his home based newspaper that has been around for thirteen years.
The former Naval Chief who was unavoidably absent due to an engagement outside the country disclosed this via his representative, Hon. Olakunle Jagun who received the well deserved award on his behalf.
According to him, he is impressed with the caliber of personalities that were honored by the medium this year, saying he is happy to be part of the awardees this year, stressing that all he is doing, is not for people to praise him because he believes it is his responsibility to be there for the people and communities.
He dedicated the award to God, family, and promised to continue to do his best in supporting any venture that will promote peace, unity and development of the community, state and the country at large.
The management of Democracy Newsline Newspaper in line with the opinion polls conducted and the recommendations of the experts handling the nomination process approved a Lifetime Achievements Award in recognition of his giant contributions to the growth and expansion of the Chief of Defense Intelligence (CDI) while in office, Kabba, Ikale communities and humanity at large.
