The traditional rulers in Dekina Local Government Council have urged the Auditor-General of Kogi State, Alh Yakubu Okala to be good ambassador of the council by showing commitment, diligence and determination in the discharge of his duties. The Royal fathers gave the advise when the Auditor-General paid homage visit to their palaces.
At the Eje of Dekina’s palace, Alh Yakubu said he was at the palace to formally inform the royal father of his appointment by the state governor and to seek for Royal blessings while soliciting support for the present administration of Alh Yahaya Bello.
While congratulating Alh Yakubu for his appointment, Alh Usman Obaje said his most sincere appreciation was to the governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Bello for finding one of his sons, Alh Yakubu Okala worthy of the appointment. Alh Usman Obaje while describing the office of the Auditor-general as key component of the government said the governor has ascertained the capability of Alh Yakubu before appointing him to oversee the office and assured the governor of Alh Yakubu’s desire and determination to deliver, noting that Alh Yakubu will not betray the confidence reposed on him.
In the same vein, the ONU Abocho, Alh Tijani Okwutachi congratulated the Auditor-General for his appointment and thanked Gov Yahaya Bello for finding Alh Okala worthy of the appointment.
He said, the position of the Auditor-General is a key position which can only be handled by professionals and as such, Okala must have proven his professional proficient, hence, worthy of the appointment. While advising Alh Okala to be more diligent, committed to the service of his fatherland, he prayed to God to guide him and the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
At the palace of the Ogohi ONU Anyigba, Alh Abu Shaibu Okolo equally commended the governor of Kogi state, Alh Yahaya Bello for the honor done to Dekina by the appointment of Alh Yakubu as the Auditor-General of the state.
The Onu Egume, HRH Etila Ajeka congratulated Alh Yakubu on his appointment and thanked the governor for finding one of their sons worthy of the appointment. The Royal father prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the Auditor-General and the governor of Kogi state, Alh Yahaya Bello.
In his response, the Auditor-General thanked the Royal fathers for their prayers and blessings and appealed for their continuos support for the administration of Yahaya Bello while assuring them of his readiness to deliver on his appointment.
Earlier, the chairman of Dekina Local Government Area who led the Auditor-General to the Royal fathers appealed to the traditional rulers to give their supports to Alh Yakubu and administration of Yahaya Bello.
