It is a fact that many of our leaders who benefited and still enjoying the goodness of our country has failed us. It is fact that, those saddled with the responsibility of making lives better, making our country great and a force to reckon with not only in Africa but across the globe has repeatedly failed us. However, you all will agree with me that the way many of our colleagues are going about ventilating their anger is even more devilish that the Leaders we complain about and totally uncalled  for, unnecessary and condemnable.

Fellow youths of our great nation Nigeria, events of the last 72hrs prompted me to make this call for a halt in the madness happening across the country.

The intention of the proponent of the peaceful campaign for an end to Police brutality and a reform of the Nigerian Police Force via the #EndSARS protest are not intended for the destruction and burning of government and private facilities, attack on political leaders, looting of warehouses, malls, supermarkets and shops of business owners.

In fact, this kind of behaviour in no small measure is affecting the successes recorded and achieved during the about 14days peaceful #EndSARS protest.

On one hand, I understand the anger and hunger in the land which might have been the direct cause of this wanton destruction of government facilities, some individuals properties and looting across the country. But on the other hand, you all will agree with me that this is not a justification for us to take laws into hands or break laws of our land.

Like I stated in my earlier write up, this is no time to give up on our struggle and fight for good governance in our country. Instead, this is the time to change our strategies and move from street protest to more vital issues aimed at taking over leadership of our country come 2023.

2023 general elections offers Nigerian youths, especially the #EndSars protesters, a golden opportunity to effect the needed change in the governing structure of Nigeria that will invariably lead us to achieving the call to end bad government in Nigeria.

Therefore, I appeal to Nigerian youths to stop this madness immediately. Let’s be more strategic in our thinking and approach as we move closer to the next election year.
