Member of the Kogi State House of Assembly representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has congratulated Christians on the celebration of this year’s Christmas.
The lawmaker called on Christians to use the celebration to pray for peace and development in the constituency and the state at large.
“I call on everyone key into our sustained drive for purposeful development.
“We should always bear in mind that our new stance of non-confrontation, brain power and service to the people is the way to go.
“May God almighty grant us the wisdom and means to do more and eschew bitterness and chaos amongst our ranks,” he said.
Earlier, Hon. Cosmas Atabor followed up his distribution of rams to Muslims during the Eid-al-Adha celebration by distributing gifts, including cash, a cow, hundreds of chickens and hundreds of bags of rice to religious leaders, christian faithful, traditional rulers, APC stakeholders and supporters in his constituency.
In his reaction, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Joseph Agbonika, stated that “on behalf of the Igalamela/Odolu CAN, I appreciate Hon. Cosmas Atabor for his gifts to the body of Christ in Igalamela/Odolu. It is something that is worthy of emulation. He has given us a hundred bags of rice, 50 chickens and a big cow. This is the first of such donations we have received. May God continue to uplift him”.
Similarly, the local government APC Woman Leader, Hon. Kaka Atawodi commended the lawmaker and called on the people to continue to support him.
