Benjamin Ikani Okolo’s 2 Years in House of Reps; His Modest Achievements

During the course of electioneering for the office that Hon. Benjamin Ikani Okolo occupies today, by the grace of God, he made plethora of promises to the people. These promises he held dear to heart because they are his bonds.

In December, 2015 he paid the school  fees of 175 students in Kogi State University, Anyigba, both new and returning and a few across the country.

As at today, there are 10 postgraduate students who are on full scholarships, courtesy of Ikani Okolo. All 10 are Masters degree students.

In 2015, he registered 345 candidates for JAMB examinations and the testimonies abound. In that same year, he registered 115 candidates for WAEC and all of them came out with flying colours.

During his 1 year anniversary, he gave 74 motorcycles to members of APC executive members across the 22 wards of the constituency. He gave 22 units of Keke NAPEP to the same party leaders across the 22 wards. He gave 45 grinding machines to women groups across the 22 wards. He also gave 22 hair dryers and generating sets to them and an additional 10 generators to party supporters. He gave 46 sewing machines to women groups across the 22 wards.

In that same year, 79 women across the 22 wards were trained by late Ben Gab Isah and they were adequately empowered to start their businesses.

Based on credible proposals, he has given 100 young men and women monies to start up their businesses. He is  currently connecting 4 communities in Anyigba to the national grid. He has also connected Kpata community in Bassa local government to the national grid.

He is also connecting Sheria and all the communities on that road to Biroko to the national grid in Bassa local government. He will equally begin the connection of Oganenigu from Etutekpe junction to the national grid by July this year. This project will connect about 6 communities on the road leading to Oganenigu.

This year, Hon Benjamin Ikani registered 274 candidates for JAMB exams.
