Be Prayerful, Make Unity Your Priority – Obaro Owoniyi Tells New Ologa of Ogga

The Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Traditional Council, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi has advised the newly appointed traditional ruler of Ogga town in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, Oba Adebayo Sunday Andrew to make concerted effort to unite the people of Ogga so as to usher in rapid developments in the community.

Oba Solomon Owoniyi noted that despite being appointed by God and Kogi State Governor, Alh Yahaya Bello, there are still one or two people who might be aggrieved, adding that the Oba should be prayerful.

Oba Owoniyi gave this advice when the newly appointed Ologa, Oba Adebayo Andrew and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the Obaro’s palace in Kabba.

These were contained in a statement issued and signed by the Secretary of Ogga Progressive Union (OPU), Kabba Branch, Femi Johnson Oyelu and made available to the press.

While receiving Oba Adebayo’s appointment letter from him, Obaro Owoniyi advised him to strive to always attend community functions , convey council of chiefs meetings and adhere to the Ogga culture.

The Obaro called on Ogga sons and daughters to rally round their new Oba in terms of money and all that is necessary for him to succeed.

The statement which congratulated Oba Adebayo on his appointment, appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Barr Ozigi Salami and the National President of OPU, Bamidele Olure for making the appointment a reality.

The statement disclosed that two copies of a book titled ” A history of Ogga- Home of Pottery” by Femi Johnson Oyelu were presented by Oba Adebayo to the Obaro of Kabba so that he can know more about Ogga community.

Responding, Obaro Owoniyi appreciated Oba Adebayo’s entourage and promised to read the book, pointing out that he is a historian by profession.
