Bassa Socio Cultural Organization Elects New Excos

The National Bassa Cultural and Development Union, Bassa local government branch of Kogi State has elected new executives to pilot the affair of the organization in the next three years.

The new executive consist of Prince Jonah Jimba as Chairman, while he will be assisted by John Daku who will serve as the vice chairman.

Other executive of the union includes, John Nyizogembi, Secretary; Zeyinaba Shigaba, Assistant secretary; Emmanuel Sokwo, Treasurer; Peter Gadaga, PRO 1 and Rhoda Gwatana, PRO II.

Also elected to move the association forward are Joseph Daudu, Financial Secretary; Stephen Shigaba, Legal Adviser; John Jere, Auditor; Gwoje Wodi, Organizing secretary and Rhoda Shaba, Auditor II.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Prince Jonah Jimba promised to pilot the affair of the association to an enviable height.

While reiterating that Bassa cultural and development union, under his leadership, will be governed with fairness, equity and justice, Jimba explained that the association will leave no stone unturned to bring governance down to the grassroot and draw government attention to developmental project in the local government.

He added that there is need for concerted effort through cooperation from all stakeholders in a bid to achieve the mission and vision statement of the founding fathers of the organization.

The chairman also pointed out that the organization has produced great men and women who have served at different capacity to build a better Nigeria and also sustain the peace and development enjoyed in Bassa local government of Kogi State.

Jimba took over from his predecessor  Mr. Samuel Egbi Nyizoma who during his tenure contributed immensely for the growth and development of the union.
