The APC Campaign Council for Ijumu 1 (Gbede) State Constituency has officially commenced its grassroots mobilisation and community-to-community presentation of the party’s flag bearer, Hon. Femi Esemikose, ahead of the forthcoming election.

Led by the Director-General, Hon. Oladele John Nihi, the campaign team was joined by party stalwarts, including Hon. Sikiru Hamza, who contested the APC ticket alongside the candidate, as well as Hon. Amodu Abubakar Prime and Hon. Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta, both Senior Special Assistants to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, alongside government officials, party leaders and loyalists.

The Day One tour covered Okoro Gbede, Araromi Gbede, Odokoro Gbede, Agrigbon and Ayeh Gbede, where the team engaged constituents, consulted stakeholders and formally presented Esemikose as the APC’s candidate.

The impressive reception underscored the party’s growing cohesion, organisational strength and grassroots acceptance.

Commending Hamza for placing party loyalty above personal ambition, Nihi said his presence demonstrated that “after every contest comes reconciliation, and after reconciliation comes victory.”

He declared: “The journey has begun. We will take our message to every community, mobilise every stakeholder and work tirelessly to deliver victory for Hon. Femi Esemikose and all candidates of the APC.”

Nihi further affirmed that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Usman Ododo and Hon. Idris Salman remains “sacrosanct and not negotiable.”
