Igalamela/Odolu Chief Administrator, Joseph Baron Okwoli has called on Christians to use this year’s Christmas celebration to pray for sustained peace and security all over the country. Hon. Baron made the statement in his message to the people of Igalamela/Odolu local government area to mark the celebration of the 2017 Christmas holiday.
Hon. Baron congratulated the people for being part of another Christmas season and expressed his appreciation to them for giving his administration the needed support to deliver meaningful development to the people of the area.
Hon. Baron described Christmas as a season of love, charity and merriment. He urged Christian to spread the joy of the birth of Jesus to believers in other religions as well in the spirit of harmony, unity and religious tolerance.
“This administration has made significant efforts towards ensuring that the people of the area enjoy a memorable Christmas and New Year holidays. We have kept our promise to rehabilitated all rural roads in the area to ensure that our people drive to their respective villages with ease. We have equally donated cash and food items to the needy in the spirit of the celebration” he said.
He equally called on the people of the local government to remain cautious and law abiding throughout the celebration.
