Dr. Yakubu Oseni, Kogi Central Senator-elect has congratulated the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, Kogi East and West and of course Nigerians for embracing the policies and programmes of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) which resulted to resounding victory across the country.

The Senator-elect, Dr. Yakubu Oseni said this recently in his country home, Okene while assessing the performance of his party in the just concluded Presidential/National and State Assembly Election in the state.

His party, the All Progressives Congress has swept most elective positions, a feat he credited to the human-centred programmes of the party and detribalised dispositions of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his ever loyal Chief of Staff, Chief Edward David Onoja and other members of his New Direction cabinet.

Dr. Yakubu Oseni recounted that in Kogi East, the APC won the eleven State Constituencies, in the Central Senatorial District, the party defeated all contenders while same happened in Kogi West which includes Kabba-Bunu, Ijumu, Yagba-East, Yagba-West, Mopamuro, Lokoja II and Kogi (Kotonkarfe) State Constituencies except Lokoja I which remains inconclusive due to cancellations in some units.

“The elections mark a remarkable moment in the annals of political experience in our country. Though with some pockets of distractions, both local and international observers have adjudged it as free and fair and an improvement in our democratic journey.

“The harvest of victory we are celebrating today emanated from you all who never lose faith in the project Nigeria”, he said.
