Ankpa District Elders Forum have expressed their satisfaction with the way Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has been running his office as the Honorable member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, saying they have confidence that he would turn his constituency (Ankpa 1) around and Ankpa district if given a higher position.
The vote of confidence followed motions moved by Ahmed Mohammed on the floor of the house to call on the state government to construct Ankpa township road that is totally dilapidated, the call to rehabilitate, Equip And Ensure Efficient Functioning of Vocational and Technical Colleges in Kogi State, motion on insecurity in the state which yielded positive results, a call on the government to fix the Zonal hospitals and make them efficient, functional and accessible to the people, and other vital motions that has direct impact on the people.
The elders, who also highlighted some of the key achievements of Hon. Ahmed Mohammed within the past nine months which include; provision of motorized borehole to communities, award of scholarship to students, rehabilitation of schools, his skill acquisition and entrepreneurship scheme that is taking the youths off the streets, among others, called for the passage of a vote of confidence on him.
The Onu Ankpa, Chief Abdulmalik Umar commended him for strengthening the bond of unity, by carrying everybody along irrespective of party, fostering the spirit of oneness, enhancing development and promoting good governance in Ankpa LGA.
Similarly, an elder statesman, Alhaji Abdullahi Husseini acknowledged his selfless service and invaluable contributions describing him as a wonderful servant to the people.
While assessing the contributions of all members of the Ankpa district elders forum, the elders scored Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, high on performance, describing him as “a man not given to frivolity or disloyalty”, assuring him of their support, advises and prayers anytime.
