4 Local Government Administrators Win Built Environment Medals in Kogi

The Built Environment and Building Materials (BEBM) Exhibition has named four local government administrators in Kogi state as winners of the 2017 Built Environment Medal.

The deserving Administrators are Honourable Taufiq Isah (Ijumu); Honourable Ajoge Enesi (Adavi); Honourable Ibrahim Yakubu (Omala) and Honourable Barr. Muhammed (Kotokarfe/Kogi).

According to the Marketing Executive of the Event, Mr. Ben. Ampitan, the nomination is a fallout of survey conducted on the contribution of local Government leaderships to Planning, sanitation and supervision of the built environment practice at the grassroot, describing the nominees as Environmental Friendly. He also observed that the not minding the economic recession in the Country, proactive efforts have be put together by this nominees to ensure the their various areas is being policed to ensure compliance to Built Environment Provisions.

Mr. Ampitan assured the general public that the organization will work with the 2016 Face of the Exhibition, Hon. Edward Onoja, the Chief of Staff to The Kogi state Governor to ensure that the 3rd Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition in 2017 is not only impactful but explorative. He enjoined stakeholders in the built environment industry in the state to continue to support the New Direction team under the leadership of Government Yahaya Bello. He insisted that with the steps taken so far Kogi state people will soon roll out drums to celebrate this change government capable of transforming our society from lack to prosperity.

The second edition of Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibition held between Tuesday 15th –Thursday 17th November, 2016 in Kogi State at the Kogi State Children Amusement Park, Lokoja, Kogi State with the theme: Planning Enforcement, Sub-Standard Building Materials and Sanitation Challenge in Developing Cities has continued to reverberate in the annals of history in the built environment sector as a practitioners destination.

The event was a gathering of tradesmen, professionals, policy makers, researchers, academics in the Built Environment Industry across Nigeria with Building materials manufacturers in attendance.
