Akofirin Cultural Festival Receives Major Boost as Gov Bello, Others Endorse the Event

All is set for a successful 2018 Akofirin Cultural Festival as Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello and other members of the State  Executive Council endorsed the festival.
The Governor gave his nod to the event while he was being presented with his own copy of Akofirin T-shirt shortly after the State Exco meeting on Thursday.
The Governor while receiving the shirt in company of his Chief of Staff Cheif Edward David Onoja, SSG Dr Arike Ayoade, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Hon Arome Adoji, gave credit to the organisers of the event and charged them to make the event a memorable one.
He noted that the place of culture and tourism can not be overemphasized, noting that the state will encourage such  events as it is capable of bringing people together in unity. He promised to support Akofirin Cultural Festival in every way possible to make it a huge success.
The States Security Adviser Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), the Chairman of the Central Working Committee of the Festival  after making the  presentation of  the shirt to the Governor, noted that the event is put together to document the culture and values of Oke-Offin people, Bunu and Okun at large, while creating the avenue to relax and unwind under a natural atmosphere. He thanked the Governor for his open door policy and his readiness to give Akofirin a push towards success.
With the series of endorsements Akofirin receives every day, it is surely going to be an event that would last very long in the humans’ memory in years to come.
Other members of the Governor’s cabinet that got their Akofirin shirts are: the SSG Dr(Mrs) Arike Ayoade, the Cheif of Staff Chief Edward David Onoja, and Commissioner of Culture and Tourism Andrew Adoji and Commissioner for Finance Alh Asiwaju  Asiru.
It would be recalled that Akofirin Cultural Festival has been previously endorsed by the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Mathew Olushola Kolawole, Prof Olu Obafemi 2018 Winner of National Merit Award and Chairman Nigerian Academic of Letters, Bar. Femi Mokikan National President of Okun Development Association and Miss Kogi.
The Festival is scheduled to hold on the 28th of December, 2018 at Oke-Offin Bunu in Kabba/Bunu LGA.
