Adavi LG Chairman Assures Newly Graded, Upgraded Monarchs of Kogi Govt Support

The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has assured the newly graded and upgraded traditional rulers in the area of Kogi state government support.

The council chairman gave the assurance when he played host to the monarchs in his office.

He informed them that arrangements in place by the state government to alleviate the financial burden of the concerned traditional rulers who are going to receive their staff of office on March 5 scheduled to hold at Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, Lokoja.

He stated that Governor Yahaya Bello has volunteered to take off the expenses involved before the staff of office are presented to the traditional rulers.

“Through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, I am directed to inform you that there won’t be any fee attached or mandated by the state government or the ministry before you receive your staff of office. The state government will take care of whatever is involved. 

“It is a thing of joy that my royal fathers are men of reputable characters, and I am proud to address them as my fathers anywhere,” he said.

In his response, the Ohi of Adavi, HRH Alh. Mohammed Bello, expressed gratitude to Governor Bello for the respect he accords traditional rulers in the state.

Ohi of Adavi noted that steps taken so far by Gov. Bello proved his exemplary leadership qualities, adding that he shown unquestionable qualities required to be the next president of Nigeria.

“He knows the value of traditional chiefs in society.

“On behalf of Adavi Local Government Traditional Council, I thank His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and his foot soldiers especially the Honorable Commissioner for Local Government/Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Barrister Ozigi Abdulsalami Deedat for these noble gestures,” the monarch said.
