Adavi Council Chairman Counsels Matriculating CUSTECH Students on Discipline

The Chairman, Adavi local government council, Kogi State, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, has advised the newly matriculated students of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, to focus on their academics and be disciplined.

Salami, who was the host LG Chairman at the first matriculation of the new University and groundbreaking ceremony of phase 1 campus development by Governor Yahaya Bello on Thursday, called on the fresh students be good ambassadors of the institution.

Describing the establishment of CUSTECH as “a dream come true”, the council chairman said Governor Bello’s vision for education development of Kogi state is unique and inspiring.

“Without any iota of doubt, the University established by the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello will enhance educational development in Nigeria. 

“Governor Yahaya Bello is my mentor in politics, he is a leader who always provided solutions to many challenges facing the state, and his regime has attracted so many more development to Kogi State.

“As you can see, Kogi is one of the safest states in the country, and so many projects have been executed with many ongoing. I am very optimistic that before the end of his second tenure as the executive governor of Kogi State, before he moves to Aso Rock as the next president of this great nation by God’s grace, Kogi State will record so many tangible achievements that his successor will build on.

“On behalf of the good people of Adavi, I thank the most education-loving, peace-loving, and most environment-friendly Governor in Nigeria, Governor Yahaya Bello for bringing this educational transformation to Adavi LGA. Certainly, CUSTECH was created by His Excellency due to demands for equity,” he said.

He urged matriculating students to shun cultism and graduate to help the nation with innovative ideas that will be of good impact to humanity.
