Adavi Administrator Felicitates With Gov. Bello Over Election Victories in Kogi State

The Administrator of Adavi Local Government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami expresses his heartwarming felicitation to his Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, “Ananeyi” of Kogi State on the electoral victories and peaceful conduct of Presidential, National Assemblies and State Assemblies election in Kogi State.

Hon. Joseph made this remarks at a press briefing after the end of keenly contested State Assemblies election on Saturday, being 9th March 2019, where he lauded his Excellency for providing a leveled playing ground for all the contestants that resulted to peaceful and violence-free conduct of the election in the Central Senatorial District, which he said was unprecedented in the history anal of Ebiraland.

After the victories recorded in Adavi LG during the general election, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, on Sunday 10th March, 2019 at a church service attributed the success, prosperity and developmental strides made by his Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello in the last three years to God. He expressed optimism that the success recorded would further ensure free and adequate preparation for the re-election of his Excellency in the November primaries and the gubernatorial election in order to fulfill his latent promises to the good citizens of Kogi State.

The Honourable Administrator opined that the electoral successes witnessed in Adavi Local Government, in particular, is significant in the history of the zone and it is worthy of celebration.

“Recall that before my  advent as administrator on March 20, 2018, Adavi Local Government was given an acronyms five minus one (5-1) amongst the LG’s in Central, but with the intervention of the Almighty God and his Excellency, my untiring efforts with the support given by people of goodwill and immeasurable passion, I was able to prove the  misconception wrong as clearly evidenced in the outcome of the last Presidential and National Assembly elections as well as this just concluded State Assembly election and I can categorically say Adavi LG is one of the leading LG among others in the State. I thank God and the committed team that vigorously stood by me when we commenced the challenging task. Hands of fellowship must also be extended to those who made this dream possible even though they aligned at eve period to the Presidential and National Assemblies election, however, there is no way we would have found ourselves with this level of progress without some supernatural hands.

“With this, I give glory to Almighty God. It is not possible to put up a plan and it works out; you should know that there is a source making it work, which is God all the way.

“It has not been easy because going by the memory lane of political escapade of Adavi Local Government, the complex nature of it, we have always been an opposition, as Adavi L.G has never supported the ruling party, but today the jinx has been broken, and in all situations, we are grateful to God.

“The last three weeks of the election has been a source of joy to us in Adavi and the state in general because, my administration is resolute to change the narrative, Alas! we have achieved our dreams and positive political history has to be writing in Adavi political records.

While appreciating God for sailing through the electoral processes freely, the Council Boss expresses his gratitude to his beautiful wife who always stood by him, leading women of great virtue in a quest to achieve success in Adavi local government. “Behind every successful man is a good woman”. they said. I wish to use this medium to also congratulate the retinue of appointees of His Excellency; Engr (Dr) Abubakar S. Ohere, the Special Adviser in charge of the ministry of Local and Chieftaincy Affair, Hon. Kabiru (Onyene), the Personal Assistant on Domestic to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, the State Party Chairman of APC, Engr. Abdulmumin Sadiq, Commissioner for Works, Arch. Abdulmumin Okara, SA on Sustainable Developmental Goals, Hajia Ladi, DG on Land and housing to the State Government, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga, Senior Special Assistant on Political Adavi/Okehi Constituency to the State Government, Hon. Siyaka Oyibo, the chairman on the security trust fund to the State Government, Adavi L.G. APC party Chairman,  Hon. Barnabas Oyibo, the SA on political matters to the Administrator, Hon. Yusuf Nasiru Ekunu, the Central Campaign Chairman, Hon. Yakubu Osivave (Osundo) and the members of the party Campaign Team, my political cabinet, the  party stalwarts in Adavi LG, the Elders Advisory council, the Religious Leaders, the Traditional Rulers and others too numerous to be mentioned.

“I commend the effort of the Security Agencies who were moving round the clock doing the needful to ensure peace exist across the eleven wards of Adavi LG without harassing the electorates. 

“However, I congratulate the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, our Senate-elect, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, House of Representative-elect, Engr. Joseph Asuku Bello, as well as Adavi State House of Assembly, elect, Hon. Ibrahim Usman Okadigbo on their electoral victories. I wish them good health with wisdom to discharge the various duties that may be entrusted on them effectively and diligently”.

Further Speaking, he reassures his commitment towards the development of Adavi LG under the leadership of his Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello. Adding that, the good people of Adavi are solidly behind him.

“There is no doubt that I am very committed for your second term bid and I have started mobilizing towards that which Adavians have just proved, your Excellency on the just recently concluded general election.

“My thinking and efforts are that measures should be put in place to sustain the gain by ensuring that the ruling party retains Adavi LG before the State Gubernatorial election”.
